What does "no response to A2S_INFO" mean?
A2S_INFO is the standard Source-engine query for server name, players, map, and game. We send a UDP packet to 208.103.169.34:27015 and wait up to 6 seconds for a reply. No reply = either the server is offline, the host blocks UDP, or the server explicitly rate-limits A2S queries (some community servers do, especially after DDoS waves).
Can players still connect if A2S fails?

- Every 5 minutes, in parallel across 4 monitoring regions (US East Virginia, US West Oregon, Europe London, Asia Singapore).

- If a host returns 429 or consistently drops connections from our IPs, we cap retries at 3 and report the last observed status — we do not flood the target to confirm the outage.
