isitdown.io is designed to be privacy-friendly. We collect minimal data:

• Check queries: When you check a website, we temporarily store the domain name and result in memory to display recent checks and trending data. This data is not persisted to disk and is cleared when the server restarts.
• Analytics: We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand traffic patterns. This collects anonymized, aggregate data (page views, referrers) with no cookies or personal identifiers.
• Advertising: We use Google AdSense which may use cookies to serve ads based on your visit to this site and other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ad Settings.

Information we do NOT collect

• We do not require account creation or login
• We do not collect email addresses, names, or personal information
• We do not track individual users across sessions
• We do not sell any data to third parties
